About Us
Zack is working on a fourth year as a Houston police officer, and will be trying to stay out of the heat! He is originally from Boston, Mass. but came to Houston after graduating from college to pursue a law enforcement career. (Coincidentally, it also happened to be where the bride-to-be was living.) Zack is a fantastic poet and a whiz in the kitchen.

Amy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin Law School in May and passed the Texas Bar Exam!  She will be doing temp work while job searching and getting ready for the wedding.  Eventually, she hopes to work in the field of public interest law (ideally criminal law).  Amy also loves to spend time with her dog Frisco and baking sweets. (She just bakes--Zack is the chef.)

We're both voracious readers and enjoy all kinds of ethnic foods--Thai food tops our joint list. (And Zack is one of a select few people that will enthusiastically join Amy for one of her favorites, Ethiopian cuisine.)  Our favorite way to spend a day together is at the beach. Given this shared love, a beach wedding seemed perfect for us!

Our Wedding Songs:

Processional: "We Belong" by Pat Benatar
Recessional: "Silly Love Songs" by Paul McCartney
First Dance: "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel
Father of the Bride: "My Girl" by the Temptations and the Law & Order Theme Song
Mother of the Groom: "Perfect Fan" by Backstreet Boys

How We Met
We met during orientation week of college at Wesleyan University.  (Go Cardinals!)  Amy was dressed in 80's gear and Zack was dressed as a woman and calling himself Zoe.  That night they and a couple of other new friends hit the Dunkin' Donuts and stayed out late.  Zack and Amy were best friends through college until shortly before graduation.  That's when the sparks started to fly!
